As a result of a power failure at the Meander Medisch Centrum (a large Hospital in Amersfoort, The Netherlands), the Health Board decided on Saturday 22 January, that their patients needed to be evacuated from the Hospital, in order to secure their safety. As the lifts were stuck on the 1st floor, the evacuation had to be carried out via the stairs. With the help of Escape-Chairs® all patients were evacuated to the ground floor and were transported to other Hospitals in the area. </font></div> <div> </div> <div><font size="2">The cause of the power failure was as a result of a small fire in a transformer vault.
